This week I am participating in the SITS Girls Chick Click Carnival. It’s designed to encourage bloggers to interact and get to know one other. Let me start by introducing myself. I am a mom to 1 son and wife to a military contractor. By trade I am an ICU nurse and an adrenaline junkie. I am proud to be from New Orleans and am currently listening to Rebirth Brass Band. Hurricane Katrina was terrible but made my family’s faith stronger. The Saints won the Super Bowl and that makes me smile.
Since I started blogging my favorite post, so far, is Evacuation Tips for Moms. Evacuations are tiring both emotionally and physically. There is something stressful about 2 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs and every worldly possession you intend to save loaded in one car stuck on the interstate for 24 hours. The more prepared you are prior to evacuating the less scrambling you will do when the time comes. This post also includes tips just for Moms and how to help kids cope with evacuating.
Now let me introduce you my favorite peep of the week, that I found through Chic Chick Media. The blog is Frostings: creating tomorrow’s heirlooms. After looking through a few sites this one made me stop in my tracks. She has an etsy shop with beautiful piece’s of jewelry that I would love to own and share with the special women in my life. Her jewelry is not only aesthetic but also full of meaning.
