I am looking forward to attending the International Food Bloggers Conference right here in New Orleans! To get ready for a weekend filled with blogging and great food here are a few of my latest NOLA pics.
1) New Orleans Skyline
2) Cafe Du Monde – The best place for beignets and a cafe au lait. Started in 1862 it was around long before coffee shops became trendy.
3) Pere Antoine Alley – Next to the St. Louis Cathedral, many claim to have seen Pere Antoine strolling this alley.
4) Tujaque’s – (pronounced Too-Jacks) Open for over 150 years it’s the 2nd oldest restaurant in New Orleans and serves traditional creole cuisine. You will hear it mentioned in Benny Grunch’s 12 Yat’s of Christmas.

Sounds GOOD!! Have fun at the conference! I love that first one.
I love those places. You will probably cringe but another of my favorite places to go to eat when I’m home is Bud’s Broiler. Ahhhh…a #4 with sauce and onions..fries..and a root beer…the best. I want to go to that conference – it would be unbelievable
Beautiful photos!!!
Thanks!
I LOVe your photos! LOVE them! I’ve never been to New Orleans unless you count a trip through the airport. I’d love to have a reason to visit!
Thank you! I hope you find one too and don’t judge us by our airport. lol
The conference sounds fun. I’ve only been to New Orleans once, but would love to return. Great photographs!!
My photo was taken on Decatur this past Saturday! I took a few of the Decatur signs right past Cafe Du Monde. 🙂
How ironic! The original Cafe’ Du Monde is my favorite. Eating beignets at their other locations is just not the same!
Love the colors!

Hope you have fun in New Orleans!
New Orleans is foodie heaven! Lots of great flavors and unique dining experiences!
We visited NOLA a few years ago and stopped by Cafe de Monde for the best beignets EVER. That place is an institution! I love New Orleans, the food, the architecture. I hope to visit again some day. I’ll have to bookmark this so I remember your suggestions.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit and got to try some beignets! Hope you make it back!
Those look like some pretty cool places. I must visit New Orleans one of these days. Enjoy the conference!
Sounds GOOD!! Love the pics!
I was there in March, and I got to try a beignet from Cafe du Monde for the first time. O.M.G. Sooooo good!
Glad you got to try them. They are amazing no matter if it’s 8am, 3pm, or 3am. =)
Oh wow! I love experiencing the local fare wherever we go. New Orleans is on my bucket list! Happy WW.
aaaaaaaaaaaaah Always wanted to go there… Great pics..
Sounds like a fun conference! And I know we have the foods so it’s the perfect place!

Oh you’re making me miss home! I lived in Nola for 4 years and it just doesn’t ever let you go! xo
I understand. It is the kind of place that sticks with you no matter where you are!
GORGEOUS!!!
NOLA is on my bucket list.We are moving to DFW for 6 months and would love to drive there area few days! 🙂
It would be worth the trip! Hope you make it down!

Great shots.
Seeing these pics makes me want to visit New Orleans…
Happy WW!
How fun!! I bet that’ll be a blast!
One of my most favorite cities to visit – I never knew what Southern Hospitality really meant until I went to NOLA back in 2005. Visited again the weekend before Katrina hit and it broke my heart. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Thank you! It really is amazing how far the city has come since 2005 but everyone still talks about things as either pre-Katrina or post-Katrina.
Great. Now I want to drive 2.5 hours just for beignets!! I do love Cafe du Monde and NOLA! Enjoy the conference! 🙂
Thank you! We have a Cafe Du Monde with a drive-thru right down the street and it does my diet no favors! Wish it was 2.5 hours away because my will-power stinks!
These photos are great. I love the processing.
I would love to go to a bloggers conference!! Can’t wait to see pics from it! Hope you have an amazing time! Great photos!
