For every five prescriptions filled (including vaccinations) you get a card for an additional 5% off your entire purchase!
With a little planning you can really make your pharmacy rewards work in your favor.
Last year, I had received a Pharmacy Rewards discount card right before the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday. Using coupons, my REDcard, and my additional 5% discount, thanks to my Pharmacy Rewards, I was able to save a large amount of money off of my Christmas shopping! More recently, I had been watching a particular patio set sold on Target.com, but I knew that I was close to achieving another Pharmacy Rewards discount, and I patiently waited until it arrived before ordering my new patio set.
When I have a sick kid, I usually need to purchase things to help take care of them . When dropping off a perscription at Target, it gives me the opportunity to get chicken noodle soup, cleaning supplies to kill the infecting germs and any additional over the counter medications that they might need. Many times I will pick up something quick and easy to cook for the rest of the family too. Now Target Pharmacy will text you when your prescriptions are ready making it easy to grab those extra things and not add unnecessary time to your trip.
I am an advocate for medication safety and with Target Pharmacy you can select a different rim color for each member of your family. For example, in my family, I have purple, my husband has orange, and my son has blue. It’s a safety feature that may prevent a dangerous medication error. My son and I take the same allergy medicine at the same time of the day. The only difference is that his dose is half of my dose. When it is late at night, having different colors on the bottle makes it easier to identify what medication belongs to which person.

There are a couple of things that I really like. First of all, I like that they call the doctor’s office when you need a new prescription and refills. Secondly, I like the fact that there’s an automated message telling you that you have a prescription to pick up.

I love that I can shop while I wait.. Target is awesome. And I love that they have a list of many different generics $4 for a 30-day supply, or $10 for 90 days for people who don’t have prescription insurance coverage. Before my insurance kicked in, I used to be able to get a 3 month supply of my thyroid medicine for $10! The same exact generic that other pharmacies charged me around $15 for a 30 day supply!

What I like most about the Target pharmacy is that they will give me 5% off of my items after I fill 5 prescriptions. This is such a good deal, and also they have tons of great prices on generic drugs.

I love the speed in which they fill prescriptions. I have gone to other places only to be told I would have to wait hours, whereas at Target the most time I have had to wait is about 30 minutes. This is a major difference and makes it easier to pick up my prescriptions while getting other items I need.
